Spooky, but make it taste good. Decorated cupcakes and cakes through October, made to order in Peterborough, and made to be eaten rather than photographed and abandoned.

Halloween is a fortnight of parties compressed into one weekend, and decorated work takes longer than plain. Mid-October is the point at which I start turning things down, so ask before then.

  • Hand-piped cupcakes

    Decorated for the night. Minimum 24 cupcakes.

  • Chocolate cake with coffee Swiss meringue buttercream

    Decorated for Halloween, and still a proper cake underneath.

  • Gingerbread

    Cut and iced by hand. It survives a party bag.

For the table

  • Triple chocolate brownies

    Dark, milk and white in the same square.

  • Cookie boxes

    Boxed up for a class or a party bag.

Decorated properly, not just dyed

Most Halloween baking is a normal cake with black food colouring on it. Decoration here is hand-piped and hand-cut: ghosts, webs, whatever the party has decided it is doing this year. The cake underneath is the same chocolate or vanilla I would send to a wedding, because a themed cake that tastes of nothing is a waste of everybody's evening.

Cupcakes for a room full of children

Cupcakes are the sensible Halloween order: one each, no cutting, no plates, and nobody fights over the corner piece. Minimum 24 cupcakes, up to 2 flavours, decorated for the night.

Gingerbread and biscuit boxes

Gingerbread takes decoration better than almost anything and survives being carried around a party in a small hand. Boxes of iced biscuits work for a class, a party bag, or an office that has committed to a theme it now regrets.
