The filling
Cheese, potato, carrot, sweetcorn and green peas. Cheese and potato are the base. The vegetables are cut small enough that every forkful gets some of each, so nobody ends up with all the carrot. It is seasoned properly, so it does not need ketchup, although nobody is going to stop you.
The same pie, without the meat
Same pastry, same oven, same batch, crimped the same way. Vegetarians usually get the version that was clearly designed second; this one was not. If you are ordering for a mixed table, order these alongside the beef and chicken and nobody has to check what they are picking up.
Frozen, if you want them later
Pies and sausage rolls come frozen, ready to bake whenever you want them. They bake from frozen, which makes them a reasonable thing to keep in the freezer for the evenings when cooking is not going to happen.
How to get them
Order and pay online, then collect free from the pop-up spot in Peterborough. A few extras are sold at the pop-up on the day, and they go in the order people arrive.
Allergens and labelling
Every order goes out with a full ingredient and allergen label to UK PPDS requirements, so you can see exactly what is in it before anyone takes a bite.

Veggie pies, answered
What is in Sploffin's vegetarian pies?
Cheese, potato, carrot, sweetcorn and green peas, in hand-crimped pastry. They are vegetarian, made to order in Peterborough.
How much are the vegetarian pies?
£4 each, the same as the vegetarian sausage rolls. The pies containing meat are £5.
Are the vegetarian pies vegan?
No, they contain cheese. They are vegetarian. Ask me if you need a vegan savoury bake and I'll be straight with you about what I can do.
Do the vegetarian pies contain nuts?
The filling has no nuts in it. The vegetarian sausage rolls do contain walnuts, so they are the ones to avoid if that matters. Everything is baked in a home kitchen where all fourteen major allergens are present, and every order carries a full allergen label.
