The short version
How the pop-ups work
A pop-up is how Peterborough gets my fresh bakes. One small menu goes up before every bake; you order and pay online, and I bake it all in a single batch for collection. There's no shop counter, so when the list sells out, that's the batch.
Order and pay online
You order from a short menu that changes every time. Most of it falls into five price bands, from £3.00 to £5.00: buns, cake by the slice, meat pies, cookie boxes and vegetarian pies & sausage rolls. Every item shows its live stock, and ordering closes when the last one is reserved. You pay when you order, so your collection is already settled. I also bake a small number of extras for the day itself, sold first come, first served at the pop-up. Ordering ahead is the only way to be sure of yours. Anyone on my list sees the menu first and gets 10% off their first order.
Baked just for you
Everything at the pop-up is baked just for your order, in a small home kitchen in Peterborough, in one batch sized to the order list plus those few extras: the pastries come out of the oven warm for the day, and the keeping bakes are made within a couple of days of it. They're generational recipes, made with real butter, and they're meant to be eaten fresh, not stored. That only works at a small scale, which is why each pop-up stays small.

Collect at the pop-up, or order to your door
Each pop-up is collected from a spot in Peterborough, confirmed with your order, and collection is free. For the days in between, the letterbox gifts and cupcake boxes on the shop pages are posted to your door by Royal Mail or DPD.

The list changes every time, but a typical pop-up looks like this. Every savoury bake has a page of its own under pastries and pies.
Savoury
- Lamb sausage rollsLamb with rosemary and garlic, rolled in pastry and baked dark.
- Veggie sausage rollsCheese, potato, mushroom and walnut with rosemary, thyme and garlic. Contains nuts.
- Beef piesBeef and potato with thyme and garlic, crimped by hand.
- Chicken piesChicken and potato with thyme. The milder of the two.
- Veggie piesCheese and potato with carrot, sweetcorn and green peas.
Sweet
- Apple and custard crumbleSoft apple and custard under a crumble top.
- Cinnamon bunsSpiced and spiralled, then iced while they are still warm.
- Dark and white chocolate browniesBoth chocolates in one tray bake.
- Vanilla and lemon zest butter cookie boxesButter cookies with vanilla and lemon zest, boxed up.
Pies and sausage rolls can be delivered frozen to bake at your convenience. Just say so in the notes when you place your order.

Pop-up prices sit in five bands, so you know roughly what to expect before the list goes up.

Cupcakes are made to order only and never appear at a pop-up; the minimum there is 24, or there is the ready-made box of 12 on the cupcake box page.
Collection and delivery
Collection in Peterborough is free, and the exact pop-up spot is confirmed with your order. If you would rather have bakes sent to your door, the letterbox gifts and cupcake boxes on the shop pages ship by Royal Mail or DPD, anywhere in the UK.
