What goes in the box
All one kind, or half and half of two. Either way it comes as a box of six or a box of twelve. Seasonal cookies join in their season: the gingerbread snowflakes and matcha trees are on the Christmas menu.

Real butter, short enough to break clean.

Five, done properly
The butter cookies are the ones to send to somebody who says they do not really like sweet things: real butter, short enough to break clean. Butter pecan is toasted pecans through a brown-butter dough, and it contains nuts, plainly. The chocolate chip and double chocolate are chewy in the middle, and the oatmeal and raisin still has the oats doing something.

The box of six is slim enough to post as a large letter, straight through the standard UK letterbox slot, so nobody has to be in. Twelve cookies weigh more than the large-letter format allows, so the dozen travels as a Royal Mail parcel, still anywhere in the UK, with the postage priced at checkout. What cookies do you post?
Five kinds: butter cookies, butter pecan, chocolate chip, double chocolate, and oatmeal and raisin. You pick two for the box, or fill it with one kind.
Do the cookies contain nuts?
The butter pecan cookies do, and they say so on the menu. Nothing else has nuts in the recipe, but everything is baked in a home kitchen where all fourteen major allergens are present, including nuts, so if the allergy is severe, talk to me before you order.
How are the cookies packed?
Flat in a single layer. The box of six goes as a large letter straight through a standard UK letterbox; the box of twelve is heavier than the large-letter format allows, so it travels as its own parcel with the delivery priced at checkout.
Can I send cookie boxes to several addresses?
Yes. Send me the list of addresses and what you'd like in each, and I'll price the whole thing at once.
Can I get letterbox cookies delivered next day?
Yes, on a day you book. Choose DPD next day at checkout and any Tuesday to Friday at least three days ahead: I bake for that date and hand the box to DPD the day before, and its next-day service carries it for your chosen day, to mainland UK. Royal Mail 1st Class is the cheaper choice for a box that fits the letterbox.
Can letterbox cookies be delivered the same day?
No. Everything is baked to order for the day it travels, so there is no shelf of ready boxes to send the moment you order. The soonest is a booked day from three days ahead, by DPD next day to mainland UK or Royal Mail 1st Class anywhere in the UK.
How long do letterbox cookies last?
At their best within five days of arriving, and the best-before date on the label is the one to follow. Keep the box closed, or move them to an airtight tin, somewhere cool and dry; they do not need the fridge.
