Sandwich platters in Peterborough, made to order
Sandwich platters for the board meeting, the training day, the conference break and the family gathering that needs feeding without anyone stuck at a counter buttering bread. I make them to order in my registered home kitchen in Peterborough, with the fillings you choose and every platter labelled with its ingredients and allergens, and I deliver across Peterborough and the PE postcodes, from Stamford and the Deepings to Huntingdon, Spalding, Wisbech and King's Lynn. Christmas is the busiest time of year for party food, so if yours is a December do, ask early.
How much notice: One week's notice, please. For a Christmas lunch or party, ask as soon as you have a date.
Sandwich platters for meetings, training and conferences
Board meetings, seminars, in-person training days, conferences and client visits all go better when lunch arrives on time, on a platter, and not in a carrier bag. I deliver to offices and business parks across the region: Lynch Wood, Orton Southgate, Fengate, Hampton and Fletton Quays in Peterborough, Gateway Peterborough and Alwalton Hill, and further out to Alconbury Weald, Ermine Business Park and Hinchingbrooke Business Park in Huntingdon, St Ives Business Park, Stamford, Spalding, Wisbech and King's Lynn. You get a written quote up front and a proper invoice for the accounts team.
Sandwich platters for family gatherings and Christmas
Birthdays, christenings, anniversaries, a gathering after a funeral, the cousins descending in December: a sandwich platter feeds a room without anybody missing the conversation to butter bread. At Christmas, platters do the heavy lifting for office parties, team lunches and the open house that started as six people and is now twenty. Add a box of cupcakes or brownies and pudding is sorted too.
What goes on the platter
The fillings are your call. Choose the classics your crowd expects, or tell me the ones they actually eat, and I build the platters around your headcount and the occasion. Vegetarian and vegan sandwiches are labelled and set out on their own platters, so they get their own corner rather than the sad end of the table. Every platter is labelled with its ingredients and allergens. My kitchen handles all fourteen major allergens, so I cannot promise anything is free of traces; tell me about allergies when you enquire.
Where I deliver, and what delivery costs
I deliver across Peterborough and the PE postcodes, which reach into Cambridgeshire, south Lincolnshire, north Northamptonshire and west Norfolk: the city itself, Yaxley, Whittlesey, Oundle, Stamford, the Deepings, Bourne, Spalding, Holbeach, March, Wisbech, Ramsey, Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots and King's Lynn. Delivery is priced into your written quote at £3 minimum, then 55p a mile from the city centre, and collection in Peterborough is free.
How to order, and what it costs
Sandwich platters are priced per head, against the fillings and whatever else is on the table, and quoted in writing before you commit to anything. Send the date, the headcount, the delivery address and any dietary needs through the form below, with a week's notice, and I will come back with a menu and a price.
Why not just grab a supermarket platter?
You can, and nobody will be arrested. But a platter off the supermarket shelf was made before anybody ordered it, for whoever happened to pick it up. Mine are made for your date and your headcount by one baker, in a registered kitchen with a food hygiene rating of 5, with the fillings you chose and a label that tells everybody what is in them. And if the meeting deserves a little more, I bake the cupcakes, brownies and cookies to go with it.

Questions people ask
- How many sandwiches do I need per person?
- It depends on what else is on the table. As a guide, caterers plan on about one and a half rounds of sandwiches per person when sandwiches are the whole lunch, and less when there is finger food or salad alongside. Tell me the headcount and the occasion and I will size the platters so nobody leaves hungry.
- How much notice do you need for sandwich platters?
- One week's notice is what I ask for, so I can plan the fillings, the labels and the delivery around your date. For Christmas lunches and parties, ask as soon as you have a date, because Christmas is the busiest time of year for party food.
- Do you deliver sandwich platters to business parks?
- Yes. I deliver to offices and business parks across the PE postcodes, including Lynch Wood, Orton Southgate, Fengate and Hampton in Peterborough, and further out to Huntingdon, St Ives, Stamford, Spalding, Wisbech and King's Lynn. Delivery is £3 minimum, then 55p a mile from Peterborough city centre.
- How much do sandwich platters cost?
- Sandwich platters are priced per head, depending on the fillings, the headcount and what else you want on the table, and I quote in writing before you commit to anything. Delivery is added to the quote at £3 minimum, then 55p a mile, and collection in Peterborough is free. The enquiry form is the quickest way to a price.
- Can you make vegetarian and vegan sandwich platters?
- Yes. Vegetarian and vegan sandwiches are labelled and set out on their own platters, so they get their own corner of the table. Every platter carries its ingredients and allergens. My kitchen handles all fourteen major allergens, so I cannot guarantee anything is free of traces; please tell me about allergies when you enquire.
- How long can sandwich platters be left out?
- Keep the platters in the fridge until you serve them. Government food hygiene guidance says chilled food can be kept out of the fridge for up to four hours, and then it must be thrown away, so set them out when people arrive rather than first thing in the morning.
- Do you invoice businesses for catering?
- Yes. Businesses get a written quote up front and a proper invoice afterwards, and food safety documentation from my registered kitchen is available on request. A recurring order, such as a monthly board meeting or a regular training day, can be set up once and repeated.
