What goes in a letterbox box
Three kinds of bake, all chosen because they travel beautifully. Fudgy hand-cut brownies in six varieties, from plain through triple chocolate to caramel and sea salt, thick-cut slices of cake in ten flavours, and cookies. A treat box mixes all three. Everything is all-natural, made with real butter and real chocolate, from the generational recipes passed through the years.
The bakes are packed flat in a single layer, so nothing gets squashed and everything arrives looking the way it left. Each box carries a full ingredient and allergen label, the same as every Sploffin order.

Baked when you order
Letterbox boxes follow the same rule as everything else here: I bake when you order, in one small batch, and your box goes straight into the post, never into a warehouse. Brownies and loaf cakes are dense enough to be at their best for days, which is exactly why they're the bakes I post.

Collection and delivery stay local to Peterborough, but letterbox boxes travel by post, so this is how my baking reaches the people who live further away.

Sploffin's boxes hold hand-cut brownies and thick slices of cake, baked to order in my Peterborough kitchen and posted anywhere in the UK.
What kinds of letterbox gift are there?
Four postal boxes, all on sale now: letterbox cake slices in the same ten flavours as my cupcakes, letterbox brownies (six kinds including blondies), letterbox cookies, and mixed treat boxes that combine all three. There is a fifth page for the vegan cakes: three of them, vanilla, chocolate and carrot, which are made to order locally while the postal versions are still being worked out.

Every box is baked for your order, never pulled off a shelf, and each one carries a full ingredient and allergen label with a best-before date, so you can see exactly what you're eating and when to eat it by.
Can I send a letterbox box as a gift?
Yes. Letterbox boxes are made for gifting: add a message with your order and I'll include it in the box. I don't put invoices in gift boxes.

Letterbox bakes from a very small kitchen
Sploffin letterbox delivery is fresh brownies by post, alongside thick-cut cake slices, baked to order in a registered home kitchen in Peterborough and sent anywhere in the UK in a slim box designed for a standard letterbox. Everything is all-natural: real butter, real chocolate, real vanilla, and a full PPDS allergen label in every box.
Sploffin letterbox brownies and cake slices are baked by me in small batches, in the same kitchen as the pastries and pies, using generational recipes, not a commercial production line. If you're after a celebration cake instead, that's the personalised cakes side of the kitchen.
